Education

The path to growth and success is paved by education. The Seneca Nation is committed to helping all generations of Senecas follow that path and achieve their goals.

The Seneca Nation The Nation’s Early Childhood Learning Center, located on the Cattaraugus Territory, helps to foster a love of learning and a nurturing environment in a family-oriented program. The state-of-the-art facility operates year-round, with professional and support staff who provide robust Daycare, Head Start and After School programming for children from ages six weeks to 12 years old. Developmental areas of focus include social and emotional development, physical development, cognitive development, and language development, helping students develop and understand values, behaviors, skills and understanding to help them succeed in the classroom and in life.

As children age and go progress along their K-12 educational journey, the Seneca Nation Education Department works closely with its public school district partners to ensure that students are succeeding in school and that they are supported, empowered and prepared to achieve their goals and ambitions. As they complete their High School education, Seneca students are further encouraged and supported in their pursuit of Higher Education. The Nation provides Higher Education funding to help Seneca students with school-related expenses, so that they are not prevented from pursuing their goals because of economic circumstance. Likewise, the Nation has developed education, training and workforce development programs to assist non-traditional students in achieving their goals.
